On 3rd August we paid an unannounced visit to the big goat milk farm “Klavergeit” in the Netherlands. The farm houses 1640 goats. The barn was well ventilated and there was plenty of daylight. Visit to intensive pig farm in Erichem destroyed by fire
Today, Eyes on Animals, together with photographer Jack Tummers, visited the mega pig farm, Knorhof in Erichem - which had been completely destroyed by fire a day earlier. There were no less than 24,000 pigs at this intensive farm. Only one pig survived the fire - but it was later euthanized because of its many injuries. Visit to goat milk and kid fattening farm in North-Brabant
On July 13th we made an unannounced visit to the goat milk farm “Van den Heuvel” in North Brabant. The farmer and his wife were very friendly and gave us an extensive tour around the farm. Visit to Dutch poultry farm Wingens
Today our team visited the Dutch poultry farm owned by Rob and Egbert Wingens. At the Wingens farm, broiler chicks are hatched inside the barn. This is rather unique as normally broiler chicks are hatched in hatcheries and then transported live to poultry farms to be fattened. Today Eyes on Animals visited a goat farm in North Brabant. We parked our car and headed towards the farmers’ home to introduce ourselves to the farmer.
