Jolmers shows us their welfare course
Today we visited Jolmers Opleidingen. Jolmers is one of two institutes in the Netherlands that provides the new and compulsory course for chicken catchers. Total ban on exhibiting horses with docked tails at Dutch fairs
Our lobby has been successful; there is finally a TOTAL ban on exhibiting horses with docked tails. This was just announced by the Dutch Minister of Agriculture, Mrs. Schouten. Last summer Eyes on Animals made an unannounced visit to poultry slaughterhouse GPS in Nunspeet. Behind the slaughterhouse, GPS has a woody area where trucks can stand in the shade.
