Trailing of Kroes & Jansma calf truck from Poland to the Netherlands
On March 27th we visited the export and control post “Dam-Pol” in Poland, owned by a Dutch animal trader. At that moment very young calves - 2 to 5 weeks of age - were present. This morning the EonA/AWF team observed the departure of three trucks carrying the German pregnant heifers that had been unloaded at the Vet Express control post near the Hungarian/Romanian border for the required 24-hour rest yesterday. At the feeding station near the border, the animals are watered and fed with hay, which has been carried along from Germany, but they are not unloaded.
