Meeting with Veetrans

Inspection of a livestock truck with new-born chicks

One of the surviving chicks, roughly a dozen died from the accident. While parked at a highway rest stop, Eyes on Animals investigators spot a truck with new-born "broiler" chicks loaded in cages. Inspection of a Polish truck transporting Dutch piglets

Eyes on Animals inspector checking that the piglets were indeed able to get up.   Eyes on Animals trailed a Polish livestock truck transporting Dutch piglets from The Netherlands towards Poland. Most spend their first weeks in small individual pens - unable to play, socialise properly, or move freely.
