Meeting with Veetrans

April 1, 2009

Eyes on Animals inspectors met with Veetrans. Veetrans is a quality assurance program set up for livestock transport companies to join that agree to abide by stricter animal welfare rules during transport. Eyes on Animals commends the people behind Veetrans for taking this initiative and is an example of industry itself trying to make improvements. Many companies are still not members of Veetrans, but Eyes on Animals will encourage them to do so. Only when everyone agrees to respect animal welfare equally and properly will animals suffer less, and decent companies no longer have to lose the competition for competing with bad companies for business
