Follow-up training on stunning at Pretty Pipers Pig Abattoir, Ghana

2. Januar 2026

In our effort to put an end to the clubbing of pigs in Ghanaian abattoirs, we taught the workers at this combined pig farm/abattoir how to use a captive bolt stunner half-a-year ago. Unfortunately, the stunner we gave them after this training was no longer functioning after being used intensively for this last month without interruption. Christmas time is always very busy … [Mehr...] about Follow-up training on stunning at Pretty Pipers Pig Abattoir, Ghana

🐄 Around 17 million dairy calves are farmed in the EU every year.

Most spend their first weeks in small individual pens - unable to play, socialise properly, or move freely.

The @eu_commission must keep its promise to #EndTheCageAge.

🐄🌳👍 Deze beelden spreken voor zich.
Op warme dagen zoeken koeien, net als wij, de schaduw op.
Schaduw bieden is geen luxe, maar een basisbehoefte. #dierwaardig # hittestress
