Eyes on Animals and Animal Welfare Foundation team are on the fourth day of their inspection at the Bulgarian/Turkish border. Today  we checked 4 EU livestock trucks that arrived on the Turkish side. Today was our third day checking on animal trucks coming from the EU into Turkey. A Lithuanian truck with young bulls, on a journey of at least 2300 km, arrived on the Turkish side of the border in the morning. The bedding was very filthy. Today two livestock trucks from the Hungarian company Agrosped, organized by Schalk Nutztiere (Austria) arrived on the Turkish side of the border. On board are young Austrian bulls. Expanding our police trainings in Belgium

Ook op warme dagen worden varkens dicht op elkaar gepropt in bloedhete vrachtwagens. Hijgend en trillend komen ze aan bij het slachthuis. Als ze onderweg niet al bezwijken aan de hitte.

Al dit leed voor een stukje vlees 😔
