Today the EonA/AWF team dropped by Aygüler Dericilik slaughterhouse in Kazan near Ankara in Turkey. This slaughterhouse is large and sells its meat to various companies, including Namet to all parts of Turkey east of Ankara. The plant is run by two brothers of which we met with one of them today. Observation of cattle slaughter at Cemit slaughterhouse in Bursa-Cali (Turkey)

On the 14th of December the EonA/AWF held a meeting with the boss of this slaughterhouse that we had never been to before. He admitted to us then that his current slaughterhouse was very old and the installations needed to be modernized. Today the EonA/AWF team met with the Plant manager, Quality Assurance Superviser and Veterinarian from Kayarlar slaughterhouse in Bursa-Gürsu. A team from TSB/AWF and EonA was invited to observe the Halal slaughter of sheep at a slaughterhouse in Clarens/ Switzerland. Once or twice per week a number of sheep is slaughtered Halal in this slaughterhouse. Today 60 sheep would be slaughtered Halal. Meeting with German veterinarian specialized in reducing suffering at slaughter
