Today we inspected a collecting center in Brabant. There were hundreds of kids (baby goats) present, destined for France. The kids were brought in small trailers and some in a bigger truck from the company Busser. Unfortunately we were not able to observe the conditions inside the collecting center closely because the owner asked us to leave his premises due to public … [Read more...] about Inspection collecting-center with hundreds of kids (young goats) for export

Bad containers at Van Miert poultry slaughterhouse

February 22, 2018

Blom containers

Today we brought an unannounced visit to poultry slaughterhouse Van Miert in Breukelen (NL). In front of the building there was a poultry-truck with badly designed and poorly maintained containers. The metal wire of the drawers was bent in several places, causing small openings where birds could stick their heads out. Once the birds are loaded into the containers and these … [Read more...] about Bad containers at Van Miert poultry slaughterhouse

Practical training of Polish Official Road Inspectors (ITD) in Kielce (PL)

February 7, 2018

Kielce ITD at work

On a very cold early morning the TSB|AWF and EonA team helped the Road Transport Inspection (ITD) from Kielce stop and inspect livestock trucks. It was not our first time in this area, and we were happy to see that after previously imposed sanctions, we did not observe cattle transported on 2 decks in the swanneck this time (the animals do not have enough headspace if they … [Read more...] about Practical training of Polish Official Road Inspectors (ITD) in Kielce (PL)
