Investigations by Eyes on Animals, Ethical Farming Ireland and L214 reveal that young calves, imported from Ireland, are still kept on board of trucks for over 30 hours without giving them any milk. Visit to VION pig slaughterhouse in Boxtel to check on the waiting times
Today we made an unannounced visit to VION in Boxtel. As witnessed by EonA in previous years we saw, many pig-trucks parked up along the public road. Teaching stunning at cattle abattoir near Bursa, Turkey
Yesterday Eyes on Animals worked at a slaughterhouse near Bursa (Turkey) to show the difference between traditional slaughter (without pre-stunning) and more humane slaughter (with a stunner). Appeal against decision of NVWA concerning wounded sows at Lunteren pig assembly centre
On March 8th, 2021 we found a truck parked at Lunteren assembly centre with two seriously injured sows onboard. We filed an enforcement request with the NVWA, but this was denied due to “lack of evidence”. Our objections against this decision were declared unfounded.
