Calves not given any milk for over 30 hours
Investigations by Eyes on Animals, Ethical Farming Ireland and L214 reveal that young calves, imported from Ireland, are still kept on board of trucks for over 30 hours without giving them any milk. Visit to VION pig slaughterhouse in Boxtel to check on the waiting times
Today we made an unannounced visit to VION in Boxtel. As witnessed by EonA in previous years we saw, many pig-trucks parked up along the public road. VION in Boxtel has a lairage but it is too small for the number of pigs they slaughter each hour, the pigs are left waiting until there is space available. Teaching stunning at cattle abattoir near Bursa, Turkey
Yesterday Eyes on Animals worked at a slaughterhouse near Bursa (Turkey) to show the difference between traditional slaughter (without pre-stunning) and more humane slaughter (with a stunner).
