Visit of Eikelenboom slaughterhouse in Lith (NL)

Today we made an unannounced visit to Eikelenboom slaughterhouse in Lith (NL), where we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Jan Eikelenboom. Popular Dutch TV show joins EonA to inspect poultry trucks during heatwave

During the heatwave in week 30, two journalists from the popular Dutch TV show EénVandaag joined Eyes on Animals to inspect poultry trucks. Temperatures were above 35 degrees that day. EonA visits Van Miert poultry slaughterhouse during heatwave

On Friday July 26 Eyes on Animals visited Van Miert poultry slaughterhouse in Breukelen. The temperature at 11am was already 36 degrees Celsius.  During our visit a poultry truck was parked directly in the sun, next to the slaughterhouse for 15 minutes. Visit of organic goatfarm “De Geitenhoeve”

Today Eyes on Animals visited  “De geitenhoeve” in Tilburg (NL), where we were warmly welcomed by the farmer and his wife. De Geitenhoeve is an organic goat farm where 600 goats are milked. Visit to the Wetering assembly center in Zwolle

Today Eyes on Animals made an unannounced visit to the Van de Wetering assembly center in Zwolle. We were warmly welcomed by the manager and immediately given a tour. Van de Wetering collects unweaned calves (14-35 days old) for fattening farms in the Netherlands. The barns where the calves are held looked well maintained. Amsterdam House Hotel
