On May 25th Eyes on Animals paid a visit to Blonk’s assembly center in Harmelen (NL). At the time of our visit, no one was able to speak to us. Eyes on Animals was together with Welfarm and the French gendarmes (that we gave a theory training to last month) in northern France to stop and check on animal trucks passing by. Visit of Eikelenboom slaughterhouse in Lith (NL)

Today we made an unannounced visit to Eikelenboom slaughterhouse in Lith (NL), where we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Jan Eikelenboom. I want to tell you about Akuba. A young sow we met last week in Ghana. We were there in the first two weeks of December, inspecting and improving slaughterhouses together with the local NGO WACPAW. Our goal: curb the intense suffering of animals that is going on there.

Ons land is uniek kwetsbaar voor een grote menselijke vogelgriepuitbraak, in 2003 overleed al eens een Nederlandse dierenarts aan de ziekte. Amsterdam House Hotel
Eyes on Animals main office is in downtown Amsterdam, at the Amsterdam House Hotel. The generous and warm-hearted hotel owner donated to Eyes on Animals, free of charge, a beautiful room where our inspectors can work, hold meetings and store their material.
