Visit of Ekro calf slaughterhouse from Van Drie company, Apeldoorn, NL

Today a team from Eyes on Animals was accepted by Van Drie to receive a tour of their calf slaughterhouse in Apeldoorn. Calves slaughtered here are the "unwanted" male calves from the dairy industry as well as the female calves that are not kept to replace the dairy herd. Meeting Pick Slaughterhouse

This morning we met with the Deputy CEO and PR of Bonafarm and Head of Quality Management and Food Safety at the slaughterplant Pick, which is under the umbrella food group of Bonafarm. Visit of three Turkish slaughterhouses

Throughout the years, Eyes on Animals inspectors have visited many slaughterhouses. We see many – major and minor – differences in the equipment used, as well as the handling of the animals.
