Referans, a Turkish-language Islamic magazine focused on religion, published an article written by our trainer/inspector Asalet Sancakdaroglu about the importance of slaughter being as humane as possible and the religious texts permitting, and even advocating, for rendering animals unconscious prior to the unavoidable and painful slaughter procedures such as restraint, hoisting and neck cutting.
