Slaughterhouse RKKB not interested in visit from EonA
In May 2015 Eyes on Animals brought an unannounced visit to the slaughterhouse RKKB in Didam (NL). RKKB slaughters cattle and sheep, with and without stunning. We had a quick talk with the director. Transport inspection of Dutch spent hens to Poland
Tonight while conducting random inspections, we spotted 2 poultry trucks parked beside an egg farm in Dreumel, the Netherlands. We want to check on the welfare of the birds during catching and loading and ask the farmer for permission to enter, which he accepts. Die Schulungsbroschüre von Eyes on Animals wird nun auch in Mazedonien angewendet um Amtsveterinäre über die EU-Verordnung 1/2005 und deren ordnungsgemäße Durchsetzung zu schulen. Mazedonien ist noch nicht Mitglied der EU allerdings ist das Land sehr daran interessiert die EU-Tierschutzverordnung umzusetzen, um die Aussicht auf eine Mitgliedschaft zu verbessern. Kontrolle Kälbertransport Mondfrans von Litauen nach Holland
Heute kontrollierte ein EonA-Team auf der niederländischen Autobahn Tiertransporter. Ein Transporter des Unternehmens Mondfrans, beladen mit Kälbern aus Litauen, wurde gesichtet. Er war auf dem Weg zu einer Kälberaufzuchtstation im Osten der Niederlande. Die Kälber waren 3 bis 5 Wochen alt. Trailing of Kroes & Jansma calf truck from Poland to the Netherlands
On March 27th we visited the export and control post “Dam-Pol” in Poland, owned by a Dutch animal trader. At that moment very young calves - 2 to 5 weeks of age - were present. They were given the 24 hrs rest as stipulated by the EU Transport regulation. Final destination was a veal farm in the Netherlands. Transport was carried out by Kroes & Jansma.
