One week ago, Eyes on Animals gave a training course to the police from the region of Gent (Belgium) about the European animal transport legislation. 🐖 Recent volgden wij opnieuw Nederlandse slachtbiggen.
Biggen met navelbreuken, aangevreten oren, infecties en afgebeten staarten.
Hier niet gewenst - in Kroatië een delicatesse.
Deze big, met een ernstig aangetast oog, was één van de vele dieren op dit transport. #veetransport

Natuurbranden zoals op 't Harde, raken niet alleen het landschap. Ze laten ook diepe sporen na in het dierenleven in zo'n gebied. Volgens boswachter Plantinga van @Staatsbosbeheer kan de impact ernstig en dodelijk zijn. "Ze verbranden levend." 🔥
