Improvements at Gönen slaughterhouse, Turkey

On January 13th 2016 the Eyes on Animals and TSB|AWF team returned to Gönen slaughterhouse in Turkey as they told us they had made several improvements since our last visit. Inspection of Thoenes Natur slaughterhouse, Germany

Today we observed the slaughter of pigs at Thoenes Natur slaughterhouse in Germany. Follow up Visit at Ivo Hendriksen slaughterhouse in Lichtenvoorde

Today we had a follow-up visit at the Ivo Hendriksen slaughterhouse in Lichtenvoorde. Ivo Lichtenvoorde mainly slaughters young pigs. During our last visit we witnessed pigs becoming frightened due to loud noises made by the metal gates. Better restraint box at Vion Tilburg slaughterhouse (NL)

Several months ago we visited Vion cattle slaughterhouse in Tilburg, where many culled dairy cows are slaughtered. Animal welfare improvements at Baskent slaughterhouse in Sincan, Ankara

Meeting with Westfort pig slaughterhouse

🐄 Koe met kalf aan de voet produceert niet automatisch minder melk.

Onderzoek laat zien dat de totale melkproductie vergelijkbaar kan zijn. Het verschil zit vooral in de melk die het kalf zelf opneemt. 👇
