New stunning method reduces pig suffering

Vlees, the Dutch magazine for professionals working in the food and restaurant industry, published an article about how Eyes on Animals’ redesigned a large pig slaughterhouse to make high throughput automatic electric-stunning much more humane, and to provide a realistic alternative to the painful CO2 gas stunning option so that the use of CO2 gas can be phased out.
