Unilever is committed to achieving annual sales of € 1 billion (£ 900 million) of its plant-based foods through some of its best-known brands. The move comes as food manufacturers try to capitalize on the surge in popularity of plant-based diets. With its new ‘Future Foods’ initiative, Unilever therefore wants to expand the range of its best-known meat and dairy-free labels, helping people eat more healthily and reduce the environmental impact of the supply chain and halve food waste by 2025.
