Stunning Animals before slaughter is a religious duty

Drawing on his extensive experience, Asalet trains professionals in the use of both captive-bolt and electrical stunning methods and has inspected hundreds of slaughterhouses that operate with and without stunning. His deep practical knowledge gives weight to his interpretation of the relevant passages in the Qur’an and the essence of the Hadiths, showing that Halal not only means lawful, healthy, and safe to eat, but also demands the highest standards of animal welfare.
