Today we paid a visit to Ketelaars assembly-center in Heeswijk-Dinther (NL). This company gathers sows for slaughterhouses domestic and abroad, including VION. The owner made time to talk to us about the new EU guidelines and gave us a short tour of the facility. Today, by appointment, we visited the export assembly center Van den Boogaart in Veghel. About 80 sows and several hundred piglets were gathered by PALI Group. Today Eyes on Animals made an unannounced visit to the Salland collection center in Wijthmen. After a short talk with the owner it was clear he was unfortunately not open to our visit. Today we visited Janssen export assembly center in Neerkant. There was plenty of activity at the time of our visit. There were hundreds of sows and piglets present. There was also one boar.
