IMPORTANT NEWS: Transport of unweaned calves by truck and ferry from Ireland to France systematically violates EU feeding intervals
In a response to our questions, the EU Commission confirms that there is no derogation to the feeding intervals in the case of animals transported on RORO (roll-on roll-off) vessels. Today Eyes on Animals paid an unannounced visit to Baijens assembly center in Baarle-Nassau. We spoke briefly with the owner and received a guided tour. Today we paid a surprise visit to Van Lieshout cattle assembly center in Sint-Oedenrode (The Netherlands). We received a warm welcome from the owner and he took us on a tour of his farm right away.
