January 2014: Promising developments in Turkey

January 31, 2014

13.06.2013_TR_Bursa_mrkt__27EonA and AWF just received news from the Minsitry of Agriculture in Turkey: “In the upcoming weeks we are going to start trainings for the official veterinarian inspectors. The animal welfare issues are added to this training program. In this scope, we would like to benefit from the power-point presentation and videos you showed us during our meeting in December 2013.” We wish the Turkish officials lots of success and look forward to seeing improvements in the field as a result of this gained knowledge about welfare and behaviour of animals.

Completely insane. Dutch government to raise VAT on #plantbased milk, but not cow's #milk or chocolate milk. 🤦‍♀️

They're treating these sustainable plant-based products like soft drinks, irrespective of whether they contain sugar or not. https://nos.nl/l/2469528
