Today our team visited slaughterhouse RKKB in Didam. Animals being slaughtered here are predominantly cattle. During our visit we spoke with the director, Roelfjan Klein Klouwenberg. According to the director, RKKB applies stunning during the slaughter process, but will abstain from stunning if the client wishes so. Eyes on Animals has not been allowed to witness the slaughter process itself as the director expressed he wished to consult with the branch organization beforehand. We agreed to send him an email to request a possible follow up date.
