Training of Official Road Inspectors and veterinarians in Opole, Poland

February 23, 2017

Today Eyes on Animals and AWF|TSB gave a training course on Regulation (EC) 1/2005 to a group of 40 Official Road Inspectors (ITD) and government veterinarians from the Opole region in Poland. We witness some lively discussions and sense some frustration in cases where law is not perfect enough to really protect animals. We appreciate such discussions a lot, even if there are no easy answers, because this shows that inspectors care about animal-welfare.
We hand out our latest version of the Police Training brochures we made and are happy to see that representatives of both inspectorates find it very practical to use in the field when checking livestock trucks.

Dear friends,

I first discovered the bad side of factory-farming and industrial slaughter when I was a young girl of twelve.
When I visited a livestock market I saw a pile of sick animals left for dead behind the building. At a huge industrial poultry slaughterhouse, I saw dozens of live chickens walking around the bloody floor…

#brandbrief https://www.varkensinnood.nl/zerotolerance?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=slachthuizen-2023
