Police (ITD) training and night inspections before Skaryszew horse market, Poland

March 5, 2017

As one of our EonA and TSB|AWF team spends the night inspecting the Skaryszew horse market itself, a second EonA and TSB|AWF team joins the Polish Road Transport Inspectors (ITD) to inspect livestock trucks bringing horses to the market at night. Some vehicles have already arrived and are arranged in a long line-up for veterinary inspection. Some are still on the way. Throughout the night, ITD inspectors and our team stop many cars with empty trailers and a few small livestock trucks, carrying 1 or 2 horses each. Some vehicles are in appalling condition with unacceptable dividers, some have missing documents. Luckily, the horses we see look good and seem well taken care after. ITD inspectors fine some transporters and take notes to write complaints about authorisation of several vehicles.

@WakkerDier #mest #varkens #koeien #betonrot
