Over Christmas WACPAW and Eyes on Animals held a follow-up training at JFamco slaughterhouse in Accra, Ghana. On this day we also donated a second captive bolt pistol so that cattle and goats could be stunned safely and quickly before being restrained and bled out. Normally animals are tethered or forced down on their side and have their throat slit while fully conscious.
WACPAW and EonA are doing their utmost best to improve conditions inside slaughterhouses in Ghana via education and distributing better equipment.
