July 2011 Dutch transport company again involved in incident animal suffering

July 10, 2011

thumb_downJuly 2011 During our inspections at the Bulgarian/Turkish border in July we observed drivers from the same Dutch transport company caught many times before, causing unnecessary suffering to animals. On board were two bulls that were injured, one could not even walk on its own. Both of the animals were forced to continue their journey, and not given any water, fresh straw or medical attention despite the drivers being aware of their horrible condition and despite the bulls already being on board for 4 days. Eyes on Animals wonders how many more horrible incidents will take place before the authorities properly sanction this company, or before the boss takes effective action to stop these problems.
