Today we visited the cattle slaughterhouse VION in Tilburg together with our Turkish volunteer and vet in training, Berker, who wanted to see what the difference was between slaughterhouses in Turkey and the Netherlands. He can use the knowledge gained through such a visit to help us reduce animal suffering in Turkish abattoirs we have been to. We thank VION Tilburg, which is always willing to receive us and is open to the exchange and sharing of knowledge. We have some ideas for further improvements at Vion too and will work with them on seeing if they can be adapted.
