Turkish Ministry of Agriculture is going to print Turkish Slaughter Modernization Brochure

April 14, 2015

Modernization brochurePromising news! We just heard from Sinan that the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture is going to print more copies of our Turkish Slaughter Modernization Brochure (about improving animal-welfare) and distribute them to every slaughterhouse in Turkey! And that the officials from the Turkish Ministry in charge of giving out subsidies for agricultural development, wants to join us and V-Cons in Benelux to check on “best-practice” examples of slaughterhouses (where animals are stunned, restraint is upright and not by live-hoisting, raceways have anti-slip floor and anti-mounting racks…) so they can start handing out financial help to Turkish plants wanting to modernize, and they will know what the criteria should be.

#vogelgriep #pluimvee
