Training of Road Police and Veterinarians, Gdansk (Poland) – Theory part

November 16, 2016

Today we gave the theoretical part of a training course on the Directive EC 1/2005 on animal-protection during transport to a large and diverse group of ITD road inspectors, highway police and official veterinarians from the regions around Gdansk. The group is very interested and asks many questions. We are happy to see active participation of representatives of different authorities and there is a lot of potential for future cooperation. We want to thank Dr. Rabitsch for giving these courses with us and to the photographer David Chalimoniuk who joined us to take some excellent photos of these courses.

Dear friends,

After years of our fieldwork and our enforcement requests, the NVWA (the Dutch government inspection authority) is finally taking action.

The NVWA has made it clear to the entire calf export-import industry between Ireland and the Netherlands: transporting unweaned calves for more than 30 hours without milk will no longer be tolerated.

#dierenwelzijn
