Training of the Official Road Traffic Inspectors in Törökbalínt, Hungary

November 18, 2025

Today we gave a training to the Official Hungarian Road Traffic Inspectors about the EU laws set up to protect farm animals during transport. We covered crucial things such as minimum EU space requirements on board, appropriate drinking water systems for the specific type and age of animals on board, maximum transport times and minimum level of fitness the animals need to be in before loading. Afterwards we entered a livestock truck from the company Markús so that the official inspectors could see what the trucks need to be equipped with in order to transport animals over longer distances, such a independently running fans, a temperature monitoring system, a ladder, automatic water system, dividers, side-access doors and a navigation system for the route to be traceable. We have offered to return to conduct random livestock truck inspections together on the road soon.
