Training of the French gendarmes

September 21, 2010

Lesley (from Eyes on Animals) was contracted out by Animals’ Angels to give a training to 28 gendarmes on the legislation protecting animals during transport. The training took place at their national school in Fontainebleau where, since 3 years now, gendarmes have to answer a question about animal transport legislation in their final exams. During this training Lesley presented an award to the 3333rd policeman to be trained by Animals’ Angels. Lesley started up this training program in France for Animals’ Angels in 2003 and continues to run it for the organisation.

🚨🚛🚢 Last week, the @EU_Commission has published the new regulation for the protection of animals during transport.

The result? A missed opportunity by the European Commission to improve #animalwelfare.👎
