Today our Eyes on Animals and TSB| AWF team gave a six hours theory training course on the EU Regulation 1/2005 on the protection of animals during transport at the University of life sciences in Lublin. The dean of the University opened the training and we appreciate the fact that Animal Welfare plays an important role at the University. The audience consisted of 30 Polish truck highway inspectors (WITD), 30 official veterinarians from the Woiwodschaft Lublin and teachers/ professors from the University of Lublin. As during the previous trainings of the WITD we were supported by Dr. Alexander Rabitsch, a veterinarian and expert in the transport of animals and the problems associated with it. The theory training will be followed by a practical training later this week and further joint inspections on the road have been planned.
