Training course given to road inspectors in Eger, Hungary

February 25, 2016

Training course in EgerThe Road Transport Academy in Hungary has decided to include live-animal transport in their curriculum, as requested by the official road inspectors in Hungary. As of recently, Hungarian road inspectors have to now also learn about the European legislation on the protection of animals during transport, so they can check on animal-welfare during transport and enforce the rules.
Eyes on Animals and TSB|AWF was asked to help with this new compulsory further-education course. Today, Levente (our Hungarian trainor/inspector) gave a lecture on the EU animal-protection-during-transport regulation and the related national legislation to the officers of the National Hungarian Transport in Eger, Hungary. The 26 participants were attentive and the whole course was interactive.
Eyes on Animals is very pleased- we are getting the legislation designed to protect animals put more and more into practice by the authorities with the power to do so! And throughout Europe!

I first discovered the bad side of factory-farming and industrial slaughter when I was a young girl of twelve.
When I visited a livestock market I saw a pile of sick animals left for dead behind the building. At a huge industrial poultry slaughterhouse, I saw dozens of live chickens walking around the bloody floor…

Vriendelijk verzoek. - Bijna alle dieren in de vee-industrie worden beschermd via de wet, maar de melkkoe niet. Terwijl haar leven slopend is. Daarom heb ik het burgerinitiatief van @wakkerdier getekend. Teken jij ook? https://actie.wakkerdier.nl/burgerinitiatief-melkkoeien
