Today we had a meeting with Vee & Logistiek, a Dutch organization of animal traders and transporters headed by the Netherland´s ex-Minister of Agriculture, Henk Blekker. The purpose was to create a prevention plan for animal transport during extreme weather, such as a heat wave. We brainstormed and came up with a list of practical and realistic ideas that could help reduce animal suffering. In September there will be a follow-up meeting and shortly thereafter the plan will be confirmed on paper.
