Today Eyes on Animals met with EkoPlaza to discuss our idea of selling milk from the few dairy farms in the Netherlands where the new- born calves are not separated from their mothers or transported to be sold at a very young age, but rather kept in the herd with their mothers. These calves are much healthier, both physioogically and mentally. We first discussed this idea with Marqt but unfortunately they decided to not go ahead with it just yet. EkoPlaza was enthusiastic about the idea, especially about the fact that one dairy farmer already has his own independant tank and thus could start labelling and delilvering right away.
