After the ban on horse meat import from Mexico was successfully passed, now Argentina’s horse slaughter industry is receiving a clear message from EonA, AWF/TSB and AA USA. Since Eyes on Animals exposed to the Dutch public, supermarkets and snack companies the extreme cruelty involved in the collection, transport and slaughter of horses in Argentina, the import of horse meat from Argentina into the Netherlands has dropped by more than 60%! Coop and Deen and Mora stopped, Jumbo drastically cut back and is about to stop completely, we believe AH continues … We will keep the pressure on until the import is 0%.
