Follow-up inspection of three donkeys kept in undesirable living conditions

March 26, 2009

donkey_2009

Eyes on Animals volunteer conducted a follow-up visit to the donkeys we inspected on February 9th. Despite the owner telling us back then that they would make a couple small improvements (removing the dividers between each pen, allowing the donkeys to better socialize and have more room), nothing had changed. All three donkeys were in the same housing environment as last time. Eyes on Animals will inform the official authority inspectors now and ask that they make a randam visit to this place. Hopefully their official position will be enough to pursuade the owners take the right action and finally give the donkeys a better suited housing environment that can satisfy their emotional and behavioural wants.

Caring Farmers vindt dat de landbouw crisisbestendiger moet worden gemaakt. Aanleiding is de recente stroomuitval in Spanje en Portugal. Vooral de intensieve veehouderij had daar last van.⚡️🔌#stroomuitval
