EU project on good and aspiring practices to reduce stress of poultry transport

Meeting in BrusselsWhat started off a bit tense became a positive and productive workshop today in Brussels between the stakeholders involved in drafting good and aspiring practices to reduce stress of poultry during transport. Eyes on Animals is a main stakeholder in this EU 3-year project to identify how to put the animal-transport law properly into practice and what steps industry players can take to go beyond the law to further improve animal-welfare.

Marjan Minnesma, een uitzonderlijke vrouw: klimaatactivist, jurist, bestuurder, doener, maar vooral iemand die richting gaf. Door hen mee te nemen in een wereld die velen graag zouden willen, ook al geloofde niet iedereen dat die haalbaar is.

Dierenwelzijnsorganisaties en sectorpartijen reageerden deze week op nieuwe regels voor het welzijn van 'vleesvee'. Voor de dierenbeschermers gaan de voorstellen niet ver genoeg.
