Mistreatment of injured pigs at an assembly station in Belgium

November 4, 2008

Eyes on Animals discreetly observes a pig assembly station in Benelux. Two downer pigs ( a downer is an animal that is so injured or weak that he is she can no longer walk) are delivered by truck. Both are mistreated- the one is dragged out by her ear and the other is left all night outside on bare concrete despite the cold temperature. Both Anna and Lite are sadly found dead a day later. Eyes on Animals will continue monitoring this assembly center and report all results to the authorities and those retailers linked to this station.

Dear friends,

I first discovered the bad side of factory-farming and industrial slaughter when I was a young girl of twelve.
When I visited a livestock market I saw a pile of sick animals left for dead behind the building. At a huge industrial poultry slaughterhouse, I saw dozens of live chickens walking around the bloody floor…

#brandbrief https://www.varkensinnood.nl/zerotolerance?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=slachthuizen-2023
