Eyes on Animals was invited to participate in the first Pig Welfare Workshop at the European Commission in Brussels. Topics such as group housing of sows, measures to prevent tail biting, environmental enrichment requirements and problems regarding the different interpretations of the law were discussed. Participants came from all over Europe and included pig farmers, lawyers, pig industry lobby groups and several animal welfare organizations.
