Together with the Bulgarian traffic police, we stopped and checked on livestock trucks heading towards the Turkish border. It is very calm, only two livestock trucks pass by the check-point. One was from Sazov company, but was empty. The other was from Hunland transport company and had cattle on board. We checked on the papers, the animals and condition of the truck. The Hunland consignment was in respect of the regulations: the animals had been unloaded for 24 hr rest at a Bulgarian control post (Royal Haskovo) and the drivers were not over their own hours, and therefore allowed to continue. Future inspections together are being planned.
