AWF/EonA practical trainings of police in Hungary in full swing. Together with the Balástya highway police the team randomly stopped and inspected livestock trucks on the highway M5. Three pig transports were stopped. One was not in compliance with the EU 1/2005 council regulation.
The pigs were overcrowded and the vehicle was not suitable as it did not have any side doors in order to access the animals on board. Should an animal have been seriously suffering, it would have been impossible for a veterinarian or driver to help out. The police issued official notifications for the violations found.
