Meeting with the Dutch authorities (nVWA)

April 5, 2016

Meeting with officials from the nVWAToday Eyes on Animals met with government officials and inspectors from the nVWA at their headquarters in Utrecht. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the complaints we sent in about livestock transport violations and poor conditions on several farms and to catch up on other on-going issues such as best-practices, chicken-catching, livestock truck design and on-farm killing of piglets. We would like to thank everyone for the open discussion and we acknowledge the action taken based on our reports. Putting theory into practice- getting the animal-welfare legislation enforced is an important step to helping animals in a concrete manner and getting rid of industry players that routinely cheat.
