Training of highway police in Brugge (Belgium)

May 4, 2012

04052012_training_highway_police_belgium

In a former Roman-Catholic church in Brugge we gave a training presentation to the West-Flanders highway police. Aside from police, there were also official veterinarians and people from health-services present.
The first part of the training was given by an inspector policeman. In a comprehensible power-point-presentation he taught his colleagues all about the laws, decrees and documents concerning animal transport. The sound of an acolyte’s bell indicated it was time for a break.
After the break Lesley and Lydia did the Eyes on Animals training. They presented lots of examples from the field and how to deal with certain situations in practice.
The required knowledge will be applied three days later during an inspection day of livestock trucks on the West-Flanders highway, deo volente, one could say at a religious place like this.
We would like to also thank the Dinamo Fond for helping us financially so that we can afford to go to these trainings and make our training material.
