NOS television and radio dedicated time to interview Eyes on Animals and the Dierenbescherming about our serious efforts for there to be better protection of animals in transit during hot and humid weather. We want strict rules regarding waiting times and loading density to be law-abiding rather than just voluntary in the Netherlands. NOS radio and TV also joined us on our inspections to several slaughterhouses to monitor the condition of pigs and poultry arriving by truck and record how long the waiting times were. NOS is the main news channel and watched and listened to by millions of people in the Netherlands. It will have a big impact on people and drastically raise awareness.
