class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eyes on Animals gaf weer een online training aan de slachter en bedrijfsleider van een Turks slachthuis in het zuidoosten van Turkije (bij Kahta).\u00a0Het was te ver weg en te duur voor ons om er fysiek te komen, maar via video legde Asalet uit hoe het lijden van dieren in Turkse slachthuizen moet worden verminderd, en hoe cruciaal het is om de dieren eerst bewusteloos te maken voordat ze aan een been van de vloer worden opgehesen en hun keel doorgesneden wordt.\u00a0Verdovers zijn nog relatief onbekend en worden niet gebruikt in Turkije.\u00a0Dieren worden regelmatig gefixeerd, opgehesen, vastgebonden, gedraaid en hun keel \u00a0doorgesneden terwijl ze volledig bij bewustzijn zijn.\u00a0Maar we zijn dit langzaam aan het veranderen.\u00a0Dit slachthuis bij Kahta gebruikt nu ook een verdover.\u00a0We hebben tot nu toe in meer dan 10 slachthuizen in Turkije\u00a0met succes verdovingsapparaten gedistribueerd en de medewerkers getraind in het
