Hoewel het vandaag ijskoud was (-4\u00b0C) ging het transport van dieren onverminderd door. In circa 1,5 uur arriveerden er zes veewagens. De pluimveetrucks hadden de winterzeilen gelukkig naar beneden en de rundveetrucks de luiken bijna dicht. De dieren werden dus enigszins beschermd tegen de kou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Desalniettemin is Eyes on Animals van mening dat er bij gevaarlijk weer (code rood) door de sector eentransport-stop moet worden ingesteld ter voorkoming van ongelukken door slecht zicht of onbegaanbare en\/of gladde wegen.&nbsp;Op dit moment zijn er in het huidige \u201csectorplan voor veetransport bij extreme temperaturen\u201d nog geen concrete maatregelen opgenomen tegen koudestress.
